Celtic continued their dominant start to the new Scottish Premiership season claiming their third win on the bounce with a 3-0 victory away to St Mirren.
The victory means Brendan Rodgers’ side will go two points clear of rivals Rangers at the top of the Scottish Premiership standings, after Philippe Clement’s side dropped points against Hearts in their opening game of the season.
Callum McGregor fired the visitors in front with a driven left-footed shot from outside the penalty area just three minutes into the game.
Reo Hatate, who enjoyed an excellent performance during a rainy afternoon in Paisley, followed up 30 minutes later, striking Daizen Maeda’s knock down across the face of the goal and into the bottom-right corner.
The game slowed in the second half as the rain began to worsen. But Celtic would find an extra gear, with Alistair Johnston wrapping things up with their third and final goal in the 71st minute.
