With plenty of soccer to watch over the past few weeks, it was revealed that more Americans have tuned in to the UEFA Euros than the Copa America this year.
Despite the Copa America happening on US soil, data shows that the European championship in Germany dominates viewership across the 50 states.
Housing both tournaments in their Summer of Soccer, FOX has seen massive success with millions tuning into the network for both competitions. However, their numbers suggest a sizable gap favoring the Europeans.
FOX’s numbers show that Euro 2024 is averaging over double the viewers for the 2024 Copa America.
In the quarterfinals alone, FOX’s coverage of the Euros averaged 3.569 million viewers. With all four games available on the network, France’s quarterfinal showdown with Portugal led the way in viewership.
